The Story of Our Founder
Taoist Master Shanxu, Born as Weisong
Like many of us, Weisong once lived an ordinary life, working in the construction industry.
Yet a chance encounter led him to realize that his life’s purpose extended far beyond the path he had been following.
Guided by destiny, he embarked on a lifelong journey in search of the Tao.
He devoted himself to years of disciplined cultivation at Yuqian Dongyue Temple in Xiaoshan, Hangzhou, where he received the Taoist ordination name Shanxu(山旭).
From that moment on, he became Taoist Priest Shanxu, embracing the principle of living in harmony with the Tao and weaving its wisdom into every aspect of his life—his work, his relationships, and his marriage.
The wisdom, clarity, and harmony he discovered through the Tao transformed him so profoundly that he came to recognize his true mission:
To share the beauty, wisdom, and peace he has found through the Tao with people all around the world.

Consecrated Before Shipment
Each physical item at Taoist World is personally selected by Taoist Priest Shanxu. After an order is placed, Taoist Priest Weiqingshan personally performs a consecration for that customer’s item before shipment. The ceremony is prepared using the customer’s name and order details, making it personal to the recipient. A video of the ceremony can be recorded upon request. We share this practice as part of our Taoist tradition, not as a promise of any particular outcome.
