TAOIST-INSPIRED CRAFT · EBONY & ANTIQUED BRASS
Tai Su Xuan Mu (太素·玄木斑铜) Ebony and Brass Open Cuff Bracelet
Tai Su Xuan Mu (太素·玄木斑铜) brings dark ebony and mottled brass together in a wide open cuff.
“Wood nurtures quiet energy; brass steadies the heart. Yin and yang meet in harmony,
following the way of nature.”
The inner section is formed from matte ebony wood, while the outer brass surface carries naturally irregular patterns that recall clouds and flowing water. Brass rivets join the two materials and remain visible as part of the handcrafted design. The band measures approximately 14–17 mm wide. Its open form can be adjusted slightly, with an approximate inner diameter range of 2.2–2.4 in (5.6–6.2 cm). Adjust it gradually and only when necessary.
In Taoist-inspired symbolism, dark wood is associated with stillness, composure, and rooted intention, while brass represents strength and protective resolve. Their combination reflects the meeting of yin and yang—quietness balanced by firmness, and natural material balanced by deliberate craft. The brass will gradually develop a warmer patina and the ebony may gain a deeper luster through wear. Avoid prolonged soaking, strong sunlight, hard impacts, and frequent wide bending. Wear with care if you are sensitive to brass or particular wood species.
A meeting of dark wood and time-marked brass, handcrafted as a quiet expression of balance and natural change.
