TAOIST-INSPIRED DESIGN · FACETED EBONY & ANTIQUED BRASS
Hunyuan Panjie (混元·盘结) Ebony Wood and Brass Knot Bracelet
Hunyuan Panjie (混元·盘结) combines faceted natural ebony with sculptural openwork brass in two bold styles.
“Dark wood steadies the spirit; the interwoven knot guards the Way.”
Multi-faceted natural ebony wood beads create a deep black, angular surface, while antiqued brass adds warmth and structure. Style A – Interwoven Knot uses elongated openwork links; Style B – Square Cage Knot uses geometric cage-like components for a more architectural profile. Each bracelet is assembled by hand as a single strand on elastic stretch cord, combining Taoist-inspired imagery with a rugged punk and streetwear character. Natural grain, color, and surface details vary, so every bracelet is individually distinct.
Four nominal bracelet sizes are available: 5.5–5.7 in (14–14.5 cm), 5.9–6.1 in (15–15.5 cm), 6.3–6.5 in (16–16.5 cm), and 6.7–6.9 in (17–17.5 cm). The elastic cord provides additional give for wrists approximately 5.9–7.1 in (15–18 cm). Components use the same specifications across sizes, so they may appear proportionally smaller on a larger wrist than on the model wearing the 5.9–6.1 in option.
In the design’s Taoist-inspired symbolism, ebony represents stillness, inward attention, and steady intention. The repeating brass knot motif evokes continuity, connection, and the movement of life through change. Together, the dark wood and firm metal express quiet strength balanced by resolve—both a distinctive everyday accessory and a wearable reminder to remain centered.
With regular wear, brass naturally darkens and develops a warmer patina, while ebony may become smoother and richer in appearance. Avoid prolonged soaking, high heat, direct sunlight, and harsh chemicals. If wet, dry the bracelet promptly. Brass fittings can be cleaned separately with a little clean water to remove surface oils; gentle rubbing with a textured cloth can brighten the metal. Keep water away from the ebony beads and elastic cord, dry the brass thoroughly to prevent green corrosion, and never scrape the wood with hard tools. Keep the piece dry in storage, avoid overstretching the elastic cord, and wear with care if sensitive to brass, elastic materials, or particular wood species.
A dark, sculptural companion shaped by natural wood, evolving brass, and the enduring movement of an interwoven line.
